I have some small doubts in UT

1. There are calibration v2 blocks of 1.5 hole and 5 me hole what is the reason behind it is it only for better sensitivity or there were any other reson

2. While doing range calibration with v2 block I observed these things with Einstein modsonic 2 that while we faced the probe from 25 radius end of we clearly observe the depth it will be shown as 8.5 but where we given the thickness of the material as more than 8.5 but in the same case if the thickness is below it changes the value either 2 to 4.5 . Why?

3.what is the weld geometry for a pipe especially for double v saw weld

4. Is it really necessary to add the reinforcement of I'd and od to thickness of the parent material in the case where we using N5 notches (example coil thickness 15 and reinforcement is 1.5+1.5 so is iit mandetary to add 3mm to job thickness or not) .

5.can anyone share me the actual cycle time calculation ( I have doubt of taking the dia of the crystal as 8 or 12 for (8*9 rectangular crystprobe)

For 5 one just tell me what is correct. As we are facing 8' crystal and doing so we need to consider only 8 or as a formula we need to use 12 .

Answer for your second question..
When thickness is 8.5 or above, it shows tk as 8.5 means sound waves actually reflect at that point.
When it's below 8.5, tk will get reduce.. as machine trigonometry thinks the waves passing in the full skip which is not happen.
Here in m/c set tk as 7. Now waves after 7mm tk will be considered as it travels in full skip. So you will get tk 5.5.
