IQI selection For DWDI technique

Dear all,
can any body help me regarding IQI selection for Double wall Double Image technique.
whether IQI will be selected for single wall thickness or double wall thickness.
if we select iqi for single wall it is not showing sufficient sensitivity. can we select it for double wall thickness if yes then please refer the any code standard for it.

Single wall only.

i know as per section v it is mentioned that it is for single wall only but as we are seeing double wall image and we are penetrating through two walls then why we consider single wall for sensitivity.

it depends on which criteria you used. according to ASME code, IQI shall be selected based on single wall thickness no matter it is single wall or double wall

IQI selection must be based on single wall thickness plus allowable reinforcement.This is to achieve 2% sensitivity which is industrial requirements. IQI thickness should be 2% of single wall thickness of the material.
If you consider double wall thk. for IQI selection,then you cannot ensure desired sensitivity.i.e,2%(2/2T)

diameter of pipe shall be considered to calculate Ug value.

Hi Mr. Suman Kumar Ghosh
The selection shall be per single wall and position of IQI for DWDI shall be source side only, because you are analyzing and inspecting the both sides of weld in the ellipse shaped image. This is the worst RT technique for essential IQI wire or hole observation. For this reason you have to use Film Class 1 and 700 mm SOD.
