how many encodes should we use if we use a pair of PAUT probe?

hello! now I use the OmniScan MX2 PAUT to inspect the girth welding. If I use a pair of PAUT probe, one for 90° skew and the other for 270° skew. how many encoders should we use? for every probe, should we use an encoder? Maybe we should use one encoder due to there is only one encoder connector socket. if so, how to setup?
thanks

Did your employer just bought a PA machine and lets you figure it all out by yourself?
I saw your previous questions, that would've all been answered by a proper PA training course.

Anyways - if both probes are connected to the same scanner and move in the same direction at the same time - you need one encoder.
