NDT Webinar / On-Demand Webinar / Webcast / Video Tutorial / Voiceover Powerpoint

In response to the question: I’m interested in the webinar but unable to sign up, would you be able to send me the recording and ppt? https://www.ndt.net/forum/thread.php?msgID=77639#77639

Virtual Showroom:

In time of COVID-19, multimedia presentations are more used than ever. NDT.net provides several opportunities to provide a multimedia presentation. The forum and in particular the new Virtual Showroom provides advantages that webinars does not have.

- high number of users (open access)
- must not be scheduled (works in all time zones)
- free of charge

Although such a presentation is not a life event, it provides interaction with the users similar to a webinar. How it works? This can be seen in the Olympus on-demand webinar "The Benefits of Phased Array for Weld Inspection" at https://www.ndt.net/forum/thread.php?msgID=31269

Open Access Archive:

In this association, for all authors we offer in our Open Access archive the opportunity to publish their presentation as a Voiceover Powerpoint. In time of postponed or canceled Conferences this may be a good opportunity for authors to present their work in time without further delay.

An example of an Voiceover Powerpoint can be seen here: Detection of Defects in Massive Concrete Blocks by Impact-Echo https://www.ndt.net/search/docs.php3?id=10716

We can decided individually if a presentation fits better to the Virtual Showroom or the Open Access Archive.

What is your opinion on Webinar vs. Webcast?

Love this idea, Rolf.

Would definitely be willing to participate. I have a number of videos already on my YouTube channel that could be linked.

Cheers,
