Pre & etch Inspection

We are in the stage to develop the process for Pre-etch and Etch inspection for aerospace industry.

But, we are having trouble to develop the procedure for process and for solution tests.

Can anyone to share me an etch procedure sample? only to follow it as a guide?

All of this, its for etch process prior to FPI.

Any information or recommendation will be welcome.

Thank you.

Rafid,

Have you tried to contact an aircraft manufacturer such as Boeing, Cessna or Learjet? They already have such procedure in place. It would solve your problem and at the same time, it would ensure that you are doing it properly.

Commonly, the acid etch inspection is for Steel and titanium, in this case for us is Inconel (IN100, C101).

Despite having managed to halve the weight of similar portable X-Ray generators available on the market (while continuing to provide the same power output), the SITEX CPSERIES generators feature a shutter, a laser pointer, a beryllium window, an aluminum filter and two integrated diaphragms (customized sizes are available upon request). Without compromising the robustness and reliability for which ICM products are renowned, the small size and light weight of the SITEX CPSERIES will radically change the way that you perform your RT inspections. And you will see a positive impact in terms of both quality and return on investment (ROI).
