ECT Equipment: Purchase and Questions

we need to purchase a eddy current testing equipment & also devolop its skill. any one who has recently gone through this phase pls share his experince regarding choice of the equipment, what are basic parameters that should be addressed & known by us, in order to adopt this technique for effectively monitoring corrosion in tubes of heat exchangers , material of tubes being, Carbon steel, low alloy steel, Stainless Steel, Titanium.

We need to inspect the thickness of the Zr lining having a nominal thickness of 0.7 mm, in a 25-22-2 Ni-Cr-Mo tube of thickness 2mm.

1. which Eddy current equipment is best for thi? Qutations are also invited along with brochures.

2. If someone has alreaady performed it were the results satisfactory, what type of probe & frequencies are useful?

3. Is it neccesary to use multiple frequencies to get better & reliable results. Does the use of multiple frequencies more complex in analysis?

4. How much reliable is Eddy current testing in inspection of exchanger tubes of following material
O.D Wall thk Tube Matrl
27mm 3.5mm SB 338 Gr.3 (Titanium)
¾ inch 2.11 mm 25-22-2 Cr-Ni-Mo (SS)
2 inch 2.11 mm A213 TP 316L (SS)
19mm 2.11mm A209 T1 (low alloy Steel)

is the technique eqaully good for carbon steel
