Standards for Testing Ultrasonic Transducers

Up to now we used our own testing methods. Because thus the values are not good comparable I`m searching
for standarized testing methods for our ultrasonic transducers.
Who know standards (e. g. ASTM, which number?), which describes testing methods for the specification of
ultrasonic transducers? I`m searching for standardized methods for the determination of:
- Sensitivity (e. g. P/E-measurement, which reflector distance?, what driving signal (burst with how many cycles or pulse...)
- Pulse width (How must the driving pulse be specified for a standard measurement?)
- Bandwidth (Is in the standard method a pulse measurement with Fourier transformation used, or is a sweeped CW signal used?)

You should obtain a copy of ASTM E 1065-96, "Standard Guide for Evaluating Characteristics of Ultrasonic Search Units". It is fairly detailed, and seems to be generally recognized as a good standard for NDT transducer qualification.

Sensors are available for different AE-frequency ranges optimized for corrosion and fatigue crack detection and other applications. The ISAFE 3 sensor system consists of an AE-sensor (model ISAS3) certified according to ATEX/IEC for installation in zone 0, gas group IIC, IP68, 20 to +60 °C, and a signal isolator (model SISO3) certified for installation in zone 2.
