EMAT in High temp Zr

I am interested in measuring the thickness, up to about 1", in hot zirconium (up to 400C). Is this possible?

I have not heard of anyone using an EMAT on Zirconium; I dont think it is conductive enough. I could be wrong though ... anyone else heard of EMATs in this application?

(The temperature is probably less of an issue)

Depending on its attenuation you could use a laser-laser system, but that will cost lots of monies.

About UT I read

Zirkon und Hafnium für die Kerntechnik Interesse gefunden. Sie werden bereits bei der Herstellung von Gussblock an geprüft. Hi, David,

Why dont you try with Radiographic method?

Even though I dont have experience with Zircoium, it seems to be an easy task for radiographic thickness gauge.

By the way, I checked the electrical conductivity of zirconium, 4~5% IACS at room temp.
