Re: UT Immersion system
Hi Sunny,
Many manufacturers can provide UT systems qualified following GEAE specs.
With GEAE specifications, the UT systems (instrument+transducers) must be registered in a "Data For Ordering" file and you can use only transducers and instrument that are in DFOs.
Also, The "tank" must met with GEAE specs geometric requirements.
The manufacturers that are already qualified that I know are ;
Matec (USA)> http://www.matec.com/
IRT Scanmaster (Israel)> http://www.scanmaster-irt.com/
BIA (France > http://www.bia.fr/
GE Inspection Technologies (USA)>http://www.geinspectiontechnologies.com/index.html

For the instruments and transducers, and for conventional immersion UT, GEAE suppliers use ;
Harisonic transducers (now Olympus NDT) > http://www.olympusndt.com/
Megasonic IHM and TLC transducers.

I think that you can ask for DFOs to Mr Thadd Patton at thadd.patton@ae.ge.com

David
