Effect of Pipe Diameter on Ultrasonic Weld Inspection

I am looking for some information on the practical effects of pipe diameter with respect to girth weld inspection. If someone could point me towards a concise published report it would be greatly appreciated.

My interest is related to API 1104 section 11.4.4 (20th/19th). We would like to take advantage of the greater latitude afforded by the revised requirements of the 20th edition with respect to combining the qualification of similar weld procedures when qualifying UT.

All else equal, it may prove fairly straight forward to justify a combined UT qualification for a 42" OD and a 52" OD. What about 6"/8"/10"?.
