The NDT Search Form provides the selectable Keyword "lamb wave", however if you use the Virtual Library Search or any other Internet Search Engines you shall use also the synonym "guided wave" or "guided waves". During the last month we have added 26 SPIE proceedings with more than thousands of abstracts to the crawler range.Wide-area imaging of ultrasonic Lamb wave fields by electronic speckle pattern interferometry, pp.297-309 Author(s): Grant A. Gordon, The Pennsylvania State Univ., State College, PA, USA; Truman D. Mast, The Pennsylvania State Univ., State College, PA, USA. Abstract: Ultrasonic elastic waves have traditionally been examined using single point measurement techniques. In this paper, we present a technique capable of recording out-of-plane ultrasonic displacement data over wide areas. The method employs 2D surface vibration data collected via electronic speckle pattern interferometry used in combination with laser modulation and optical phase stepping. Using this rapid, wide-area measurement method, images of ultrasonic Lamb waves onideal and flawed plate structures are presented. For a single ultrasonic excitation frequency, multiple data records are collected as an externally excited traveling plate wave moves through the sample. When an optical phase shift is introduced between the data records, the data can be processed to yield quantitative displacement fields. The resulting processed images demonstrate evidence of Lamb wave reflection, transmission and scattering. Following the full field data collection, a novel inverse scattering algorithm was applied to reconstruct images of the scattering sources responsible for the measured displacement field data. The results of these investigations will be presented and discussed in the context of detecting hidden flaws in aging aircraft. : : Dear experts and academissions; : : I study on lamb waves for using on aging aircraft. : : if anybody know about on this subject any article or url address : : please inform me : You may be interested in the following paper: : G. You can find about 15 NDT full-text articles, however as PDF downloads. We'll add these articles to the crawler range, so that it will be included into the Internet full-text search of the NDTnet Library.Rolf -------------------- : : Dear experts and academissions; : : I study on lamb waves for using on aging aircraft. : : if anybody know about on this subject any article or url address : : please inform me : You may also be interested in the online proceedings of the 3rd Joint FAA/DoD/NASA Conference on Aging Aircraft held 20-23 Sep 99 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. : These can be found on http://www.galaxyscientific.com/agingaircraft/home.htm. : There were a couple of papers relating to Lamb waves, e.g. "Ultrasonic Technique for Hidden Corrosion Detection in Aircraft Wing Skin" by A.
