EMAT wanted!

Dear Friednds,

For NDT purposes, we plan to use the EMAT principle. Could you please let us know if your company is able to provide a system as specified below?
The aim of the EMAT NDT system is to measure the thickness of tube’s wall. The tube is made from plain low carbon steel. The thickness of the tube’s wall will be 2.5…8 mm.
The measurement will be performed from the outer side of the tube.
We beg you for the recommendation of one couple instrument + transducer for the above task. The system should have also the following abilities:
1 – The outer diameter of the measured tube will be 60 mm or less;
2- The thickness to be measured will be 2.5 …8 mm.
3 – The rate of readings will be as fast as possible, but at least 20 readings pro second.
4 - The data shall be accessible in real time to an USB connector on the instrument.
5 – It will be a plus the possibility of the instrument to communicate measured data instantly via a Blue Tooth or WLAN system.
6 – The instrument’s weight should be maximum 3 Kg.
7 - The instrument will present the measurement result in a classical way on a liquid crystals or other type of screen.
8 – The instrument is intended to be used in the USA. So, it will comply with pertinent American standards and settlements.
Do you have such a system in your program? Do you need to do some adaptation to meet our needs?
Additionally, please give us some figures about the price to expect and the delivery time.

Dear Gabriel,

Sonemat provides an EMAT with a small battery powered adaptor box which allows it to then be used with a conventional flaw detector, which would be suitable for your application.

We could also develop a custom system if you want.
