leakage inspection in PE Pipe

I'm looking for In-Line leakage inspection system in PE Pipe production.
Outter diameter of PE(Poly Ethylene) Pipe is 500mm(thickness : 40mm).
I want to find small leakage(diameter 2mm) in PE Pipe.
Does anyone knows method of such inspection!
Any comment will be appreciated!

Thank you.

I worked in design and marketing of Ultrasonic Testing Systems for the Plastic extrusion market.
You can find two articles at NDTnet.

New advantages for quality control of Plastic Gas Pipes UT Flaw Detection Rotation Machine
http://www.ndt.net/article/p_rot/p_rot.htm

The article describes the need for in-line automated ultrasonic flaw detection for gas plastic pipes. There are economically feasible solutions available, even for inexpensive plastic pipe production sites, and safety expenditures pay off in the long run. This article describes a possible design and gives recommendations for buyers as well as suppliers' sites, and serves as a general introduction on how to find a specific ultrasonic test procedure. The system is based on Ultrasonic testing with a rotary head and is available and on the market. See also a related article "UT in Plastic pipe extrusion" http://www.ndt.net/article/rohrext/rohre_e.htm.

Please contact me if you need any further information.

SONOAIR - air-coupled Phased Array Ultrasonic Inspection System

For highly attenuating materials, the performance of the system is critical. The ultrasonic sensors,

the scanning area and the system settings should be flexibly adapted to the test task and the material. These high expectations are met with the new and modular testing system SONOAIR. With the world’s first air-coupled phased-array UT inspection system SONOAIR we developed a technology that works with up to 4 transmitter and receiver channels with freely configurable square wave burst transmitters as wells as low noise receiving amplifiers.
