Portable Ultrasonic Systems

I am looking for a company that sells a hard drive that is mounted to take severe shock and steady but low level vibration. This drive would be mounted in a portable field instrument and used to store inspection data. The mounting in standard notebook computers is not adequate and we wish to avoid the expense associated with using a complete rugged computer.

Re: Portable Ultrasonic Systems
Bruce,

We manufacture many different types of rugged field laser based NDT equipment. We have been very happy using the ROCKY computer from AMREL SYSTEMS, INC. out of Arcadia, California. Most of their rugged shockmounted harddrives can withstand 30g of Shock. If you would like to reach them they are at (626)303-6688 or their web-site is at http://www.amrel.com.

Good Luck
