Hello!
We have developed and have introduced an impact audio method and instrument AUD-01 for a control of strength of wood-shaving plates. I direct to you the prospectus of the instrument.The audio impact flaw detector AUD-01:

The flaw detector is intended for a nondestructive testing of products from nonmetallic materials: aviation constructions from composite materials, wood-shaving plates, plywood and other bonded constructions from wood. Detected imperfections(flaws) - disbond, stratification.
The instrument allows also to inspect by a nondestructive method strength on curving of products from nonmetallic materials, for example, fiberglass, plywood, wood-shaving plates.
In the instrument the audio impact method of a is realized. Difference of the given instrument is the simultaneous registration at once of two parameters of raised impact impulse of free oscillations of the plating: amplitudes "A" and frequency (period " Ò "). It essentially increases a reliability of a control. An apart from it the instrument is small-size, and has both network, and battery power supply.
The instrument has two operational modes: single measurements in isolated points of an inspected product; measurement in separate zones - in 10 points, about representation on indicators of average value of parameters "A" and "Ò" in the given zone. The second method is used for a control strength of the characteristics of products from nonmetallic materials.
The instrument is introduced in production of wood-shaving plates (Russia).

Technical characteristics of the instrument.

Method of energization of oscillations - impact.
Frequency of impacts, Hz - 10-20.
Range of analyzable frequencies, êÃö - 5-500.
Analyzable parameters - amplitude, own frequency of oscillations, fading.
The type of a converter an agent of oscillations of mechanical,impact operation, receiver - piezoelectric.
Indication of data - 2 digital liquid-crystal indicators: amplitudes "" and period "Ò" of oscillations, fading - on the oscillograph connected to an output(exit) of the instrument: single and average value of the inspected parameter on an inspected zone of a product.
Structure of the instrument - electronic block, power supply unit, audio converter.
Power supply of the instrument - battery (9V) and network.
Dimensions, mm - 200x120x180 (electronic block). A mass - 1,5kg (common).
