Can we use the Both MPI and UT Methode

My question is ;
Magnetic forces of MPI test system influences the test result of Ultrasonic test systems ?

Test piece is billet, During the Ultrasonic machine inspect the tail of the billet,MPI machin wll magnetize the front of the billet .

Yes. I feel you can use both without any problem. The proof of the pudding is in eating it. So, while the UT signal is on at one end of the billet, switch the magnetic yoke on at the other end of the billet. If you don't find any change in signal location or amplitude, you can go ahead.

Yes,I also agree with your thinking.

but now I am planning to set up the both systems in limited space becase of another facility.

So I wolud like to collecting the positive idea of engineering specialist in NDT systems.

any of idea is helpful for me.
