Does anybody know of epoxy/or glue with high acoustic impedance?

Thanks!

Re: High impedance epoxy/glue Dear Peter,

You might consider filling the glue with fine heavy particles to increase the densitiy and perhaps the stiffness a little bit as well. I think wolfram is sometimes used for this. Of course, the particles need to much smaller than the wavelength of the ultrasound used to avoid scattering and damping. You might consult Precision Acoustics in England, www.acoustics.co.uk might be able to help you.

Regards, Elmar
