Information required for Audible UT testing

We have one client who need to have UT testing with help of Audible testing unit. During Pneumatic testing tank will be filled with are & Pressurized. Externally one audible Unit used to find the Leak. If some one have any information please keep us inform.

Dear Ashish,

What you are asking is Leak Testing using Airborne Ultrasound waves at about 40 KHz. The leak rate can be displayed on a meter or can set off an audible alarm or the intensity of the sound signal can be proportional to the leak signal.

I am sure some of the leak testing equipment manufacturers will get in touch with you.

Soundscan - which can find leaks of pressure, vaccum, electrical and steam trap etc and many more application. These leaks have different frequencies and have different noise to easy identification. This unit can read the UT frequency between 20 to 100 Khz and it can be used as Predictive and Preventive maintenance tool also.

Hi Ashish,
This is a technique called ultrasonic leak detection.
Principle is that any air escaping from leaks will usually be at a frequency beyond the human hearing range (approx. 20KHz) for very small leaks, so this is in the "Ulrtrasonic" range.
