ICTCA '99

FOURTH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
ON
THEORETICAL AND COMPUTATIONAL ACOUSTICS
(Stazione Marittima, Trieste, Italy, May 10-14, 1999)

The conference provides an interdisciplinary forum for active
researchers in academia and industry and of varying backgrounds
to discuss the state-of-the-art developments and results
in theoretical and computational acoustics and related topics.
Papers presented at the meeting will cover acoustical problems
of common interest across disciplines and their accurate
mathematical and numerical modelling .

CONFERENCE TOPICS:
The topics of the conference will include, but are not limited to:

- Computational aero-, seismo-, and ocean-acoustics; hydro-acoustics,
bio-engineering acoustics, non-linear acoustics, structural acoustics;
- Multidimensional wave propagation modelling: grid methods (spectral, FD,
FEM, FV, BIE, BEM, etc), particle and meshless methods, ray techniques,
symbolic methods, ODE methods;
- Solution methods for large-scale problems (iterative solvers for
indefinite systems, multi-frequency methods, etc.);
- Supercomputing and parallel methods;
- Exterior problems: local and global radiation boundary conditions,
infinite elements, absorbing layers;
- Wave propagation in bore-holes, rocks, fluid-solid interfaces,
anisotropic media, viscoelastic, porous and fractured media, as well as
in random media;
- Ultrasonic wave propagation and nondestructive testing;
- Engineering and Computational seismology;
- Shallow water acoustics and environmental/bottom parameter extraction;
- Random Wave Fields and Ambient Noise;
- Global acoustics and large-scale monitoring;
- Inverse scattering problems;
-Acoustic tomography and full-field inversion;
- Optimization in acoustics;
- Real applications, case histories, and data compression.

Product Spotlight

GEKKO, Standard and Advanced phased-array for Easier inspection

With a 64-channel parallel architecture, GEKKO is a flaw detector offering at the same time conven
...
tional UT, standard PAUT, TOFD and real-time Total Focusing Method (TFM). GEKKO improves the detection, with better defects characterization and sizing as well as for misoriented defects. Some procedures require standard UT, others TOFD or PA. GEKKO includes all these techniques to offer a versatile and field-ready equipment. - 64:64 parallel channels - + 4 additional TOFD - Conventional UT channels - International code compliance: ASME, AWS, API, ASTM, ISO-EN Watch the video: https://youtu.be/kuEY_RwWS3Q

Immersion systems

ScanMaster ultrasonic immersion systems are designed for high throughput, multi shift operation in a
...
n industrial or lab environment. These fully integrated systems provide various scanning configurations and incorporate conventional and phased arrays technologies to support diverse applications, such as inspection of disks, bars, shafts, billets and plates. All of ScanMaster immersion systems are built from high accuracy scanning frames allowing for scanning of complex parts and include a multi-channel ultrasonic instrument with exceptional performance. The systems are approved by all major manufacturers for C-scan inspection of jet engine forged discs. Together with a comprehensive set of software modules these flexible series of systems provide the customer with the best price performance solutions.

SONOAIR - air-coupled Phased Array Ultrasonic Inspection System

For highly attenuating materials, the performance of the system is critical. The ultrasonic sensors,
...
the scanning area and the system settings should be flexibly adapted to the test task and the material. These high expectations are met with the new and modular testing system SONOAIR. With the world’s first air-coupled phased-array UT inspection system SONOAIR we developed a technology that works with up to 4 transmitter and receiver channels with freely configurable square wave burst transmitters as wells as low noise receiving amplifiers.
