Inspection of adhesive bondlines

Need some reference for visualy inspecting the adhesive bond line of an 250 degree, cured, aluminum honeycomb sandwich. Inspection is required before top skin is bonded on. Have noticed the adhesive is bubbling. Factory adhesive lines are smooth, like paint. We are using the vacuum bag method for curing pressure application. Might this be the wrong method. What performance loss is associated with the bubbling adhesive?
Thanks
