EXPLOSION PROOF ENDOSCOPE

Hello,
We want to use an endoscope for our platform shutdown which shall be explosion proof certified as per European norms. Anyone please advise?

Re: EXPLOSION PROOF ENDOSCOPE Endoscopes themselves are not the source of ignition and thus do not need to be certified unless they are videoscopes and have a camera at the tip. The smallest Ex camera on the market will go through a 50mm hole but has no ability to pan or tilt. If you need an endoscope for small access then it is the light source that needs to be certified such as the KLS 4250 or a sceon

Hi ! to all.

KLS-4250 it's a very old Olympus KMI Light Sourse model and my be not longer available now.
On my informations, the only one industrial endoscope available actuallywith Exx Certification is maded by the Sholly Co. and is named "Flexylux".

You can also check up with Instrument Technology (www.scopes.com). They have non conductive fibroscopes. They may help you.
