sir,
i would like to know upto which thickness in steel we can take radiodraphs with 2 percentage sensitivity?
what is its limitation?
In other way we have a 0.5mm thin welding (by just fusion without filler wire) Can we assess this weld quality by Xray radiography?
pl give me details?

Re: x ray From your second question it seems you have access to X-ray equipment. With X-ray and some exposure parameter tweaking you should always be able to achieve 2% sensitivity. The only limitation will be the maximum steel thickness your X-ray equipment will penetrate. For your 0.5mm thick (steel?) weld, low kV X-ray can give you excellent results. If you wish to penetrate much thicker steel sections then, assuming you only have access to isotopes, you will need to make test shots to detemine the capability of the set-up to achieve 2% sensitivity. Factors affecting sensitivity are film and subject contrast and definition, so you need to consider all the factors which control those parameters, such as kV, filtering, scatter control, film speed. Dont you have exposure charts for the equipment and film you are working with?

Try a few test shots with the equipment materials you have to hand - seeing is believing and altering parameters and seeing the results will give you a good idea what you will need to do for production.

In industrial RT For proper recommendations about energy selection and relevant thickness limitation on steel materials,you can refer to some code/standards(such as BS/EN1435 or old version of ASMEsec.5-before 1998),ASNT RT handbook,ASM handbook(vol.17)and others reference books.
2%sensitivity means : as a RT quality criteria and be checked by IQI,is 2% of test material thickness which is minimum detectable defect size through thickness.
you may obtain 2% sensitivity by x-ray or gamma-ray.
You can refer to ASM handbook(vol.17).

This could be misleading. You should never rely on your IQI as a gauge of minimum defect size. Your acceptance criteria and the quality indicator are two seperate issues.
