As far as I know there are no complete instruments on PCMCIA boards available. However, there are instruments using laptop as a terminal and communicating via PCMCIA board. One of the best I know is that from Technology Design, GB.
Please look at http://www.technologydesign.com/ for details. You may contact them directly at tdndt@tdndt.ndirect.co.uk

Automated Inspection Systems, Inc. makes a 9 bit A/D PC (formerly PCMCIA) card used in notebook computer based UT systems.

I tried to reach the below mentioned webpage of technology design, but failed - you get into a ftp// - directory but get no access. Is this a very secret company????

oved signal to noise ratio, characterize, size and analyze defects better with access to several wave mode views and save raw FMC data for higher quality analysis.  Some of the benefits are:
  • Beautiful Image! Easier to understand what you're looking at
  • Completely focused in entire image or volume
  • Much easier to define setups before inspection
  • Easier to decipher geometry echoes from real defects
  • Oriented defects (e.g. cracks) are imaged better
  • See image from different wave modes from one FMC inspection
  • FMC data can be reprocessed/analyzed without going back to the field
