CANCOM 2005 – THIRD CALL FOR PAPERS

Join us in Vancouver, Canada, August 16-19, 2005, for the 5th Canadian-International conference on composite materials.

The conference
CANCOM 2005 is a forum for engineers and scientists to exchange information and ideas about composite materials and structures. Canadian and international participants from industry, government, and academia are expected. The conference begins with a one-day industry-focused workshop, followed by a three-day technical conference. Planned workshop themes are manufacturing, certification, process modeling, and nanotechnologies.

Location and venue

The conference will be held in the UBC Robson Square conference facilities in the heart of downtown Vancouver, British Columbia. There are numerous hotels in varying price categories within walking distance from the conference centre, and a limited number of rooms will be blocked at a favorable rate for conference attendees.

Call for papers
Submit abstracts of 200 to 250 words on-line (www.cancom2005.ca) no later than October 15, 2004. All abstracts will be reviewed and authors notified of acceptance by November 15, 2004. Full-length papers (8 pages) are due March 1, 2005.

Lyft™: Pulsed Eddy Current Reinvented

nresolved asset integrity problem in the industry. Current methods for measuring wall thickness with liftoff, without removing insulation, all have severe limitations. Eddyfi introduces Lyft — a reinvented, high-performance pulsed eddy current (PEC) solution. The patent- pending system features a state-of-the-art portable instrument, real- time C-scan imaging, fast data acquisition with grid-mapping and dynamic scanning modes, and flexibility with long cables. It can also scan through thick metal and insulation, as well as aluminum, stainless steel, and galvanized steel weather jackets. Who else but Eddyfi to reinvent an eddy current technique and redefine CUI programs. Got Lyft?
