air coupled UT

In the frame of a R+D-Projectwe want to compare air coupled UT
with conventional UT for the inspection of CFC-aircraft-components.

Can anybody tell me companies who manufacture/sell air coupled
UT-equipment (electronics, transducers etc.)? Name and mail-adress
would be sufficient!

Thanks!

Rainer

Dear Rainer,

IMASONIC designs and manufactures high-performance ultrasonic transducers based on the use of the piezocomposite technology.
One of our current research programmes is to develop transducers for air-coupling inspection and some prototypes will be available very soon.
Please contact me at the above e-mail address for further information.
I am looking forward to your reply.

Re: air coupled UT Non-contact ultrasonic transducers with phenomenally high sensitivity (US and international patents pending) from 100kHz to 5MHz are no longer an intellectual curiosity. We have been working towards this goal for more than 20 years, and five years ago such transducers became reality. See www.secondwavesystems.com for further information.

Dear Rainer Meier,

our ultrasonic imaging system AirTech 4000 provides non-contact inspections
(see
please http://www.Dr-Hillger.de ).
This system is based on PC-boards and can be used as a stand alone system or
be
integrated in existing facilities.

Your sincerely

Wolfgang Hillger
