positron annihilation analysis

Does anyone here know about or have any experience with positron analysis? Apparently it has strong applicability in determining fatigue lifetimes in metal and other materials, esp applications in aerospace, turbine blades, plutonium canisters, ect. Does anyone know if this will technique has growth potential as a non-destructive test method?
Thank you in advance for any thoughts or experience.
