Data acquisition & USN52R

Data acquisition & USN52R

How can I do the data acquisition from the USN52R, this equipment has an auxiliary port but the output is in DC values, I need to get and RF signal for post-processing whit DSP tools.

Re: Data acquisition & USN52R
Do it by reading out the instrument digitally via RS232 - it is the only standard way. But I guess it is much too slow for a DSP.
Why don't you use a PC-Card based system for such an application. Then you can get access to the raw data as quick as possible. The USN52 is really the wrong instrument for this.
For a good performance you may use a standard PC digitizer slotcard with sufficient speed and dynamic (SONIXS, Signatec, GAGE, Spectrum, ACQIRIS). These cards often might be directly interfaced to a DSP.
And look for a good pulser/receiver board - that's all you need for optimum signal processing. If the receiver das DAC capabilities, don't forget to take this into account into your DSP routines.

Re: Data acquisition & USN52R
A new additiuon to our Digital Signal Processing product line is the newly introduced, 12 bit A/D board manufactured by Physical Acoustics Corporation. This 100 MSamples/second board interfaces (piggy-back using 1 PCI slot only) with an available 300/400 V. Pulser/Receiver board.

Undocumented commands of USN 52!
Hello!
Can anybody tell me something about undocumented commands of USN 52 (M4): DA, JD, JW, YP, YY?

Best regards...

Exertus Dual 120

The Exertus Dual 120 Projector has the ability to accept Iridium 192 sources or Selenium 75 source
...
s. This projector incorporates design and safety features that make it flexible, compact and lightweight. The Projector is lighter than most of its competitors. It incorporates an improved source channel, based on a new helicoidal design, which makes maintenance easier. The helicoidal design also allows smoother movement of the source assembly inside the device, making it easier for the operator and improving safety. The Projector also has a unique safety feature not found in competitive products. The source assembly locking mechanism is triggered by the source holder capsule at the front of the source assembly, thereby always assuring the operator that the source has returned to the safe position. The Exertus Dual 120 is ISO3999:2004 compliant.
