Provide and manage all systems and support to the project manager for him to ensure that the project is delivered on time and on budget. Accountable for cost and budget management, planning, progress monitoring and reporting, Quality Assurance and control, information management and contracting and procurement. Ensure that adherence to and improving on health, safety, security and environmental rules are embedded in the day to day activities of yourself and your staff.
Looking for someone who can lead the Project Services Management team by setting tasks and targets, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring the teams performance and competence development on ongoing basis. This will include overseeing cost and schedule management, quality assurance and information management as well as setting overall processes to ensure functional coordination.
Particular responsibilities will include the overseeing the development of cost estimates for oil and gas developments, ensuring cost and schedule risk analyses are properly conducted to determine float and contingency levels, and managing the development of cost forecasts by assessing spend, progress, changes, trends and risks.
Expect to monitor commitment and expenditure against the budget, to support the development of a contract strategy and to oversee the contactor schedule management, ensuring that project and contract milestones are aligned.
Role also involves reviewing the schedule and risks with the Project Managers to anticipate interface issues, establishing a comprehensive cost management reporting system, and supporting the broader senior project team with recruiting Project Management staff, regularly providing feedback to the Project Manager and corporate SPDC and Shell departments.
Throughout, will need to contribute to the establishment of a world-class safety mindset and culture for the project.
With a bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent, will have 10 to 15 years industry experience. This should include proven expertise in network and schedule management, contractor project services management, and project cost management and forecasting, quality assurance and control and contracting and procurement.
Expertise should also encompass risk management and IM and IT management project venture reporting.
Ability to work and manage in a multicultural environment, with team members in different locations worldwide, is key and are ready to accept overseas assignments, particularly in Nigeria.
