Client: A global Oil & Gas Inspection firm with over 26,000 people working across 160 countries require experienced and ambitious professionals for established contracts covering offshore North Sea activity.
Accountabilities / Area of Activity: The position requires you to carry out specialised design verification of offshore related equipment and of general industrial equipment as required. This will include conformance of equipment under the requirements of British and European Directives. Lead the technical and commercial management of specific projects under the supervision of the Team Leader / Project Manager. To disseminate specialised knowledge in structural calculations to design verification team. Supervise the design verification team. Deliver consistent and quality technical solution to clients. Display excellent personal time management. Deliver consistent technical solution to client and identify potential for improvement as required by Team Leader. Aiding other engineers/departments with their contracts/projects. Form good working relationships with clients. Pursue potential new clients and actively seek new business. Display some marketing skills with the support of Team Leader and nurture client relationships. Understand financial goals of the team and to support this.
Knowledge, skills, experience: - Degree in mechanical, Structural and or Civil Engineering. - experience of offshore installations and plant equipment. 4-10 years experience in a similar position. - general working knowledge (as a minimum) of the following standards / codes: API 6A, API 5CT, PD 5500, ASME V111 Div 2, ASME B31.3, BS EN 12079 etc. - Familiarity with computer structural software. - Ability to work under pressure.
