Ultrasonic PC Card

I am looking for a PC Based UT Card (preferred Pulse-Echo) which can be used for analyzing the A/D data in a separate environment. Any help regarding PC Cards or External Cards which can be connected via RS232 should be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Suresh S

We can offer you such card. In about two or three weeks we will have a special interface, designed for connecting our PC UT card (http://www.optel.com.pl/manual/english/osc2.htm) via RS 232.

Please contact me, if you are interested.

Re: Ultrasonic PC Card
It looks very promising and I will contact you soon.
OPKUD-01/100 & OPGUD-01 together with the software
should be a complete pack. Should it be a complete pack, which can interface to computer via RS232? And how much it cost in pounds?

Thank you W. Bicz

We are working on this interface and a complete system. The system has a box with power supply,
card, and additional electronics, that has a processor (but not a very big one) and RS232 or RS485
interface. Processor is able to control the card and analyse the measurements, but not very quickly
(some measurements per second) and send the results via RS. It will be also possible to send the
whole RF information to PC.

The whole system will cost 2150 Euro (about 1350 Pound). You can order it immediately, it will be
ready in 3-4 weeks. We can also make adaptations to your needs.

Re: Ultrasonic PC Card
An ultrasonic PC plug-in card Saphire from Lecoeur Electronics in Paris, France can solve your problem. It contains UT pulser, receiver and A/D converter (80 MHz 8bit). You can design your own applications using drivers for different programming languages or an advanced software Visual Saphire written in LabView.
We have used such boards for 5 years and have got a very good experience. You can get it as a separate small box that can be connected directly to your note book.

Re: Ultrasonic PC Card
Has it RS232 terminal or RF which can be interfaced to Radio Moderms to communicate with Computer.
How fast it can send data?

Thanks

Suresh S

Re: Ultrasonic PC Card
Saphir is a plug-in card which is mounted into a PC and connected to its BUS. The UT data are sent and in real time to the PC and presented at its screen. You can get an application taylored software in LabView.

As I mentioned, a stand alone version ONYX has been recently developed that can be connected to the computer (notebook) via ethernet.

Best regards
