Opportunity to develop and manage the in-house NDT laboratory in a 30 year old, stable, first class, materials science based applied research and product development firm. Develop and execute NDT techniques on a variety of test specimens, prototypes. Assist in failure analyses. Maintain a safe, clean laboratory environment. Maintain instrumentation, records, and calibrations. Contribute to winning project proposals and interface with Government personnel, prime contractors, and industrial and manufacturing partners. Customers will include Department of Defense Agencies, prime and sub-tier Department of Defense contractors, and commercial industry.
Join a highly skilled, creative, multidisciplinary staff in a flexible, intellectually stimulating environment. Company focus is in the development, engineering, and testing of long lasting composite, polymeric, and other materials for harsh environments. Excellent qualityof life in Austin, TX.
Additional Requirements:
US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a US DoD security clearance is mandatory. Travel will be 2-3 days per month on average. Education: Certifications required by a nationally recognized certifying authority:
Professional Level III Certification in Ultrasonic Testing
Professional Level III Certification in Eddy Current Testing
Professional Level III Certification in Liquid Penetrant Testing
Experience in aerospace NDT and especially Air Force-related NDT applications is desired.
