Help wanted: aging train wheel axle integrity inspection

Dear Friends,
We have a number of aging train wheel axles. Now we would like to check and find the ones are still safe and good for further usage. We are not sure of the techniques, equipment, standards methods and international codes, training and certification of personnel for this issue.
We are happy if you could advice us regarding any of these problems.
We thank you for the feedback in advance.
Best regards,

You could try

Railway rolling stock material; Part 3 : Axles for tractive and trailing stock; Quality requirements
http://www.standards.com.au/catalogue/script/Details.asp?DocN=isoc000720494

or

A21-94(1999) Standard Specification for Carbon Steel Axles, Non-Heat-Treated and Heat-Treated, for Railway Use

nresolved asset integrity problem in the industry. Current methods for measuring wall thickness with liftoff, without removing insulation, all have severe limitations. Eddyfi introduces Lyft — a reinvented, high-performance pulsed eddy current (PEC) solution. The patent- pending system features a state-of-the-art portable instrument, real- time C-scan imaging, fast data acquisition with grid-mapping and dynamic scanning modes, and flexibility with long cables. It can also scan through thick metal and insulation, as well as aluminum, stainless steel, and galvanized steel weather jackets. Who else but Eddyfi to reinvent an eddy current technique and redefine CUI programs. Got Lyft?
