how to detect radioactive elements

Dear Jayakandan,

In India, AERB, BARC and Directorate of Radiation Protection etc. are the people who can help you. Once you get the specifications for the radiation limits, you can get suitable radiation detectors, which can range from simple hand held detectors to more sensitive instruments. As for mercury, suitable destructive or non-destructive methods of analysis can be selected depending on the detection limits needed. If you can share the specifications, I can probably help you.
