fixing of plastic sole on Angel beam probe

Hello...

I was trying to fix a Plastic sole on an angle beam probe.
But always there was some air gap b/w the probe face and the sole.
Could you please help me to fix it.

You should prepare the surface of the wedge by machining or using fine-grit sandpaper. Make sure the wedge surface is flat and parallel to the original probe housing, so the incident angle is not changed. Clean the prepared wedge surface with a suitable material like alcohol. Apply an adhesive, suitable for plastic, that is low to medium viscosity to the wedge and one side of the sole . Cover the entire wedge and sole bonding surfaces with adhesive to make sure the surface is entirely wetted. Apply the new sole to the wedge and clamp it in place. Apply moderate pressure to minimize the thickness of the glue layer between the sole and the wedge.
