Two New Forum Functions
zoom image

We integrated two new forum functions.

1. Attention to Messages with no Answer

A new filter function shows messages only which did not received any answer.
After a few days it may be difficult to get attention to a message in the crowed of so many new messages. So let us try to help those people which did not get any answer.
You can find the new link "Messages with no Answer" near the link "More Messages".

2. Repeat part of original text in email

In the forum email message is now shown the first 150 characters a part of the original message.
Example:
In Reply to Mark on 21:06 Oct-20-2009
Mark's Message: "Hi Roger, Yeah they are using sub arc (I should have said before). They make sub surface christmas trees and apparently spent a fortune on getting .............."

This may help to better understand the matter of a reply. Of course still you can get the best overview on the web page

Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Rolf

new option

Hi All,

As usually the best solution comes at the end!

Now we indicate near the subject the icon "seeking replies" for messages which did not received any reply.

In this case the filter for the complete message list is not necessary.

Okay Ezio, I did an over shift!
Your suggested function is ready. See earlier description below from Apr-14-2009.
In this distributed email you can find already a link at the bottom line called "Unsubscribe from this discussion topic". You must enter the member login as mentioned in the email.

Hi Ezio,

Your suggested option seems to be an excellent idea.
I understand this option like this:
A member subscribe to receive topics by email of a forum board, e.g., technical discussions.
A new topic rise but it is not interested for this user (e.g., UT man not interested in discussion about RT).
The user can click a link in the message "do NOT send me emails of replies of this topic".

Is that what you want? Then we will add this option to the ToDo list.
