On-Line Thickness Monitoring

We have a client that has asked if we could provide a permanently installed, on-line thickness measurement system on portions of some pipe containing highly erosive coal slurry. I have found one method using radionuclide markers, but it appears to be more of a laboratory application than an industrial application. Does anyone have experience using any permanently installed thickness measurement system in industrial applications? Thank you for your assistance.

Dear Chiorlu,

Go to www.lixi.com and then to Profiler. Lixi is the manufacturer of this instrument which was supported by the PERF organization with added support from Shell Houston.

We have complete line of ultrasonic single/multichannel
ultrasonic system which can measure on line coninuously giving data at PRF Rate or selected rate. There are 2 version, one gives an accuracy of 10 ns and other is 1 ns single shot measurements. You can get thickness at any interval and system is interfaced with computer. The length of cable can be from few meters to 100 or 200 meters. If you are interested please contact us.
