This month's issue presents the DGZfP CD-ROM of the annual Conference on NDT which took place from 6-8 May 2002 in Weimar. For faster access to the 96 papers (20 MB) you may order a copy via the DGZfP. Copies of this CD-ROM are in production and will be available soon. Papers of this CD-ROM have been written in German, however, with help of the multi-lingual descriptor search English speaking readers may be able to find their topics of interest as well. Furthermore, some authors have already promised to contribute translations for a future issue. All DGZfP authors are welcome to send their translations to Rolf Diederichs at firstname.lastname@example.org. Also in this issue we are pleased to publish articles of individual authors.

The conformability is obtained with a flexible membrane filled with water between the transducer and
the inspected component. The coupling between the membrane and the component requires a small quantity of water or couplant. The conformable wedge combines the acoustic performance of immersion technique with good coupling and low attenuation.
