Platform Heater Tube Inspection

I am in search of proven NDT techniques to test/inspect tubes in platform heater coils. These vertically orientated coils are "U" shaped with two headers (inlet/outlet) connected to each end. The horizontal orientated Headers are approximately 30' long with around 30 "U" shaped coils distributed down the axis. The material is susceptible to creep damage. Any recommendations on inspection techniques and experiences would be appreciated.

Regards,
Rich Roberts

Re: Platform Heater Tube Inspection
You could try the long range ultrasonic systems such as Teletest. I know Plant Integrity in the UK has had experience with this type of inspection.

The person to talk to is Peter Mudge peter.mudge@twi.co.uk

Kindest Regards
