tensile test of cu specimen(brazed)

what sort of joint needs to be made for tensile testing
of brazed copper cylinder.i need to know the type of joint.is it plain butt joint.if so then how is the allignment etc done.is there any astm code for the same test.

Re: tensile test of cu specimen(brazed) Where is the brazed joint? Is it lognitudinal or is it the shell-to-base? Normally all tensile test specimens are made as per ASTM-E-8. But individual specifications, like for the cylinder, will determine additional requirements if any.
