Detection of small nonmetallic inclusion

Does anybody know how to detect small non metalic inclusion ( 0,010 mm to 0,020 mm ) into steel ( X51CrMo3 or X51CrMoV5-1 ).
Steel thickness 0,5 mm
Détection on the surface and in the volume.

A radiographic linear array system should be able to detect these indications.

You can also investigate the possibility of a laser ultrasonic system. Expensive but able to detect high frequency ultrasound. (www.tecnar.com) With Ghz ultrasound, I was able to measured thickness foil down to 10um.

Magnetic Leakage Flux method can be one of the possible candidates, which is good since it is a noncontact method, and no couplant is needed.
I have done a similar research, which is very easy to apply.
The detectivity of the nonmetallic inclusion can be down to 1x10^(-4) mm^(3), or better than that in some cases.
There can be some limitations.

1. Surface condition
2. Uniformity of the inner material structure

The thickness of 0.5 mm can be a problem.
But you can access from both sides (top and bottom).
