ET on dissimilar metal welds

Has anyone had success with ET on dissimilar metal welds?
Case 1 is low carbon steel, 309 weld filler, 316 fitting
Case 2 is 9% Ni steel with inconel filler.
Is it possible to use multifrequency to mix out the permeability change which swamps the flaw signal, or is it still too great to overcome with current technology?
Best Regards
Nick
