Hydrophones

I am looking to buy a membrane hydrophone calibrated up to 20 Mhz.

Does anybody know where to buy such a device?

Thanks in advance

We are also looking for reasonably price hydrophone for approximate pressure measurements. Can piezoelectric be used? What will be the consequences for vs. PVDF?
Any suppliers?

Hi Linas

Hydrophones are core busines for us at Precision Acoustics Ltd. Generally speaking PVDF hydrophones offer much broader bandwidth, and much better receive sensitivity than their Piezo-Ceramic counterparts, and can be made into very small elements if required for high frequency measurements.

Please have a look at www.acoustics.co.uk and then feel free to email me with any specific questions and we'll do whatever we can to assist

Best wishes, Andrew
