Using ultrasone to determine bonefractures

We are 4 students and we are researching the possibilities of using ultrasound to determine bone fractures. We are to make some kind of device that a doctor can easilly use to see if a bone is broken (or not) without using X-ray. Does anyone know if there are similar investigations like ours or if there are usefull websites about ultrasound in bones.
