Applications for ultrasonic testing in aggressive media?

In the field of the development of an ultrasonic transducer for working in sewage sludge we constructed a
stainless steel capsulated immersion transducer with a 6-dB bandwidth of > 50 % (mean frequency 1 or 2 MHz).
Where or in which application could it be necessary to have such a transducer? Who knows other applications, where
a ultrasonic transducer must be immersed into agressive media?
