Inspection of sludge catcher line

Hi,

Does anyone know of a suitable solution for the inspection of sludge catcher lines in a gas plant. We have tried Long Range Guided Wave Ultrasonics - but the results were not satisfactory. If anyone knows of a better technique please let me know.

Re: Inspection of sludge catcher line Good Day Arun,

To determine the best NDE technique, you would need to supply what type(s) of damage mechanisms you are interested in detecting. We use to apply automated ultrasonics (AUT) when inspecting these type of lines in Alaska. Other options may be Real Time Radiography (RTR), etc. Again, it is important to know if it is corrosion, erosion, cracking, etc. in order to select the right NDE technique.
Regards, Rich
