How to get a steel of very low attenuation coefficient

Hi,

I would very appreciate if somebody knows how to get or prepare a suitable carbon steel or other steels rod of 1.5 meter in length and 15 cm in diameter, which can be penetrated by an 10 MHz ultrasonic transducer very well (to see the clear and strong bottom echo).

Sincerely

Robin
