Gentelmen;
Please I need more information about this new technology and what is your experience with this system if you are using it.

This is a sensor coming from a mesh (around 5”X5”) that is glued on the pipe to measure pipe thickness and is connected to a computer. This is supposed to replace the manpower intensive OSI pipe thickness measurement by D-meter. The mesh is supposed to measure pipe thickness through measurement of changes in stresses in the pipe.

You need to be more specific about the technology. It sounds like the magnetic resistance mesh grid. You need to ask specific questions about the technology. Is it averaging thickness over a 5" x 5" footprint. If so it measn its real use is general wall thinning over karge areas. Localised loss within the grid will be undersized due to the footprint averaging. Is the material affected by temperature i.e do temperature variations affect measurement accuracy. If so is there compensation and has it been properly validated.
