By and large the residual magnnetic fileld strength of 2 Gauss on the Journal portion and 6 G on the other area of the turbine rotor is acceptable.

This can be done by AC and DC cycles and the same can be carried out by manual or auto mode. Most desirable results are obtained in manual method as per my experience in this field goes.

Auto Demagnetizing equipment which is portable supplied by MPS has been very much useful in this application.
