Subsea inspection

Gentlemen,

We would like to start subsea NDT divison for pipeline inspection(both manual and automated testing using UT,ET & RT etc) Could anyone advise us about the leading manufacturer's in this field?

I don't think there is a single answer to your question. There are many DIFFERENT types of inspection requirements and systems - as well as manufacturers and service companies that help you get started.

NDT Automation designs and manufactures (as well as operates - through a related division) subsea-based equipment - primarily automated UT - and would be happy to discuss your specific applications and requirements.

You can contact Force Institute at Denmark. They have devloped many scanners for Auto UT for many applications in Sub Sea Applications.

Another technique widely used for subsea inspection is ACFM. This is used mostly by divers for detecting and sizing fatigue cracks on welds, but has been deployed by ROV, and by scanner systems on pipelines.
