Coating thickness

I need to find out the thickness of a Polyurea coating being applied to foam backing. Does anybody have experience with this?

Thanks.

Re: Coating thickness We have successfully done this sort of measurement using ultrasonic thickness gages and delay line transducers. If the coating is reasonably smooth, bubble-free, and at least 0.5 mm thick, we may be able to help you. The potential limitations are rough outside surfaces or the presence of air bubbles within the coating, both of which will scatter the sound waves.
